Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a 5.5 years professional course for which the students are awarded the degrees in medicine and surgery upon successful completion of the course. The course aims at imparting quality education and training to students to help contribute to the growing sector of health and medicine. The course is regulated by the Medical Council of India and is spanned for four and a half years divided into semesters, followed by a compulsory internship for a year.

MBBS is an undergraduate degree in medicine which enables one to register as a medical practitioner and to pursue post graduate degrees in various fields of medicine. The Indian students graduating in this program will have to undergo a screening test as per the provisions of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and the Screening test regulations, 2002 of Medical Council of India (MCI), to register as a medical practitioner in India.
