Dr.Ajay S. Hatti gave introduction to AntiVEGF. Dr.Prakash.V.Suranagi spoke about treatment guidelines in Retinopathy of Prematurity. Resource persons Dr.Sunil.G, Dr. Siddarth Bengeri, Dr. Chandra kumar, Dr. Anand Vinekar, Dr. Naveen Naik spoke about Diabetic macular edema, Treatment guidelines in ARMD, AntiVEGF in ARMD, AntiVEGF in ROP, and Retinal vascular diseases respectively..
Awards: Received best free paper award, under free paper catogary for paper on clinical study of Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and its Management in 31st Karnataka State Paediatric Conference ( PEDICON- 2012) held on 13th & 14th october 2012 at J J M Medocal College , Davangere. Karnataka State Ophthalmic Conference.
Dept. of Ophthalmology, SSIMSRC, Davangere Ophthalmic Society & JJM Medical College, Davangere hosted the 28th Karnataka State Ophthalmic Conference at Bapuji Auditorium on 27th,28th and 29th of November 2009.
Around 700 delegates from all over Karnataka with over 200 trade delegates participated in the conference.10 guest speakers from reputed eye institutes from all over india delivered lectures on topics of their subspecialities.
Office bearers of the organizing committee were present on the stage.Dr Santosh Honavar, Oculoplasty Surgeon of international fame from LV Prasad Eye Institute,delivered oration lecture on ‘’ Retinoblastoma-They Live and See’’ and was honoured with the prestigious Dr.Subramaniam oration award.
There were Symposia, Interactive sessions, Video presentations, Panel discussions, 16 Instruction courses, 112Free papers and Debate, 90 posters.

CORNEA DEMYSTIFIED -2023
CORNEA DEMYSTIFIED -2023 was organised by S.S. Institute of medical sciences and research centre and JJM Medical College , Davangere under the aegis of Karnataka ophthalmic society in association with Davangere Ophthalmic Association on 09th of April 2023, Sunday at SSIMS & RC, Davangere.
All the staff members/ Teaching Faculty/ PGs from SSIMS & RC & JJMMC & DOA members attended the CME and about 113 delegates registered. Two hours of credit points was given and registration was free.
The CME was inaugurated by chief guest, Dr. S.B. Murugesh Principal JJMMC, Dr Arunkumar Ajjappa Medical Director, SSIMS & RC, Dr Shantala Arunkumar Prof & head, Dr Ajay S Hatti, Professor, SSIMS & RC, by lighting the lamp.
